DeBinder (Solid Waste Briquetting Binder)

Introduction

DeBinder is designed with organic polymer compounds which is used to make briquette of solid waste of steel mills like LD Sludge, GCP Sludge, Slag dust, Flue dust, Iron Ore fines etc. using cold press briquetting technology.

Application

This process involves compacting waste materials into briquettes using DeBinder. 0.5% – 1% of DeBinder is to be added with other solid wates and limited water to make a mix suitable for compaction.

How it works

DeBinder is used as a binding agent primarily through a process known as polymer bridging. In this process, the long-chain molecules of DeBinder interact with suspended particles, causing them to bind together and form larger aggregates. Polymerisation/cross linking of long chain of molecules develop the bonding strength.

Advantage

● Solid Waste Encapsulation: DeBinder is used to encapsulate solid waste materials, by forming a gel-like matrix around them.
● Dust Suppression: DeBinder can be applied to bind the particles together, reducing dust emissions.
● Erosion Control: DeBinder can help control erosion by binding dust particles together and reducing surface runoff.
● Durability and Forming Rate: Briquettes formed with DeBinder boast a high durability and forming rate making them ideal for various applications.
● Easy Handling and Low Ash Content : The briquettes produced with DeBinder has low ash content, making them easy to handle, store, and use.
● No Harmful Emissions: By using DeBinder, steel mills can ensure that the cold press briquetting process produces no harmful emissions, aligning with their environmental goals.
● Eco-Friendly Aspects: DeBinder is a sustainable option, making it a choice for environmentally conscious steel mills.

Packaging

DeBinder is supplied at customer’s site through silo bulker under dry Nitrogen cover.
