De-Cal SF is a homogeneous blend of different metal oxides and radicals designed to be used in ladles for modifying the characteristics of LRF slag.
After addition it spreads over the top surface of hot metal and becomes liquid which reduces the eutectic point of the slag. Thus it enhances the mobility and fluidity of the slag.
100-150 kgs of the material is to be added per ladle.
● Optimum slag fluidity and thermal insulation.
● Reduction of heat losses by covering the molten metal.
● Improves ladle life.
● Easy availability.
● Enhances fluidity of slag.
● Elimination of oxidation of steel from atmospheric oxygen.
● Enhances basicity of slag.
● Fluospar free material. Dust free eco-friendly use.
● Also free from any graphite/carbon and metallic aluminium content.
